About Enduring Courage

SURVIVING SARCOMA

Enduring Courage is a Massachusetts Non-Profit established by Sonia Bell, a Sarcoma cancer survivor, Enduring Courage has created a portfolio of bracelet designs that facilitate a story of enduring courage. We will also provide information to educate you on what Sarcoma is and treatment information.

As a Sarcoma survivor fighting becomes second nature but trying to just get through the day to day there are some things that become harder to endure and that is where I found my courage. On a day that seemed to be one of my worst the most beautiful butterfly that I'd ever seen circled around me, and it opened not just my eye but my heart and soul as well. Just as the caterpillar suffers through a seemingly hard and sad journey, and is remolded into something amazing as will we.

Enduring courage is a nonprofit organization that was created by Sonia Bell a sarcoma cancer survivor, this foundation was formed to educate, fundraise and assist cancer patients and their families in whatever ways we can. First, we want to support and educate families on warning signs, symptoms and the different types of treatment plans, fundraising will help patients and their families with travel and housing and more while receiving treatment. Enduring Courage works directly with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute they have been on the front lines fighting this battle against cancer for decades. Dana-Farber will receive a large percentage of all financial donations, they have extraordinary programs in the areas of housing, transportation and other programs that successfully help thousands of families. Enduring Courage is also starting a program for children with and who have lost a parent to cancer, this disease doesn’t just affect the patient it affects the whole family. This program will provide Boys and Girls Club vouchers, after-school programs vouchers, school supplies, clothing vouchers and more. We will also have an adult education re-training program for cancer survivors and patients in remission who are looking to start a new career and here will be several different courses to choose from working in technology and digital information. Enduring Courage is also creating a Cancer Survivor Community website to be a source of education, comfort, a support system, entertainment, and more memberships will be free all cancer patients are welcome. This social community will be a place where cancer patients can speak openly and honestly sharing their experiences, fears, and hopes having this site will help us better serve and support our cancer community, While also giving cancer patients a platform to be able to communicate with one another about things that are important to them and their families.
